So you get a brand new mac and madly searching for the “start” menu to log off or shut down. Well, you will very quickly find out that you don’t have a “start” menu. Instead, just point your little pointer at the apple symbol in the upper right corner. From there you can put your computer to sleep, restart, or shut down.
